Day 5 - home!
Just passing junction 16 on m4 (swindon) at 11.45am. 1pm: just left services after a slightly longer stop than expected. Now junction 13 on m4, but reports of heavy traffic on m25. Update when on m25. 2pm: on m25. Traffic slow but clearing. At junction 17.

day 4
Just a few words before bed 2nite... A better day illness wise, a small group of children decided 2 stay at the centre 2day 2 catch up on sleep, whilst the other canoed, caved and adventured! Rain has pretty much stayed away. We held a clore tikva has talent (?) show 2nite, complete with 3 judges. The children certainly made it their own! Apologies 4 the poor layout 2nite and text language, i'm doing this on my phone before bed. I'll try and update on the way home!

Day 3
Thank you very much for your kind comments – I’ll try and keep the photos coming!
Now… in case any rumours have started to circulate about Bubonic Plague or Swine Fever – we have had a small group of children who were vomiting during the night. I will own up to the fact that all of the children are in my group (Lewis, Brandon, Sea, Sophie, Maia, Tayla and Victoria). I am pleased to report that all of the children who were affected have had a relaxing day at the centre with Matron Stewart, eating dried toast. They are now fully recovered and are out on evening activities.
I'll add a little more later - but right now we have to set up Mia's party! No rest for the wiked!

After many hours sat at a PC (the first chance to sit down in 48 hours - well thats what it feels like) I think I can finally bring you photos - you may be sorry you asked as there are 106 and we are only on day 2!

DISCLAIMER: There are almost 50 children here, we have got 4 cameras between us, but as some activites involving water are a bit risky for cameras there aren't going to be pictures of everything.

Day 2
After the activities on day one (including Bradley's birthday celebrations) the children fell into bed and were asleep within minutes of lights out. It seems that getting up may be more of a problem now than getting the children to go to sleep.
The weather is mad! One minute it is raining, the next it's hot and sunny and the next its freezing and hailing - pretty hard to plan what to wear in the morning.
Two groups today went canoeing (Mr Neat's and Mrs Stewarts's) which they loved - with the possible exception of sitting in a field beside the river in the hail eating our lunch.
Mrs C's group went caving (can't tell you too much about that as they have literally just come off the minibus caked in mud and are currently showering.) Mrs Cohen's group have been 'adventuring' today, which they enjoyed, particularly walking through an abandoned train tunnel in the pitch darkness. Mrs King's group went mountain climbing and faired slightly better than yesterdays group who had to survive torrential rain and gale force winds.
Right now the duty group are preparing the dining room for dinner, whilst everyone else is planning their 'turn' for the talent(less?) show on Thursday evening.

Glasbury: day 1
A really good first night. There were a few tears before bed but nothing unexpected - all the children went off 2 sleep quite quickly and had a good nights sleep. We are now en route 2 our first activities - fingers crossed that the rain stops. The skies might be cloudy but the children certainly don't seem 2 have noticed! More later...
